Headunit
just wondering how come when you put in a new headunit it doesnt work with the dimmer switch like the stock radio does? i like my dashlights dim but my kennwood headunit stays super bright just wondering if there is any way to dim that?

Sometimes depending on the deck you got, there are settings for it. Mine dims when the headlights are turned on, however is not variable dimming with the dimmer switch. There are brightness settings on my deck as well and I turned the brightness level down. Check your manual that came with it. There is one wire in particular that was used behind the dash that needs to be hooked up. Its been a long time, but baby blue color is sticking out in my head? Could be wrong on that though so don't quote me.

I am changing to a Sony head unit, will find list of parts i bought.
Got to fix wreck before radio install, might do both after adjuster looks at it Monday or Tuesday.

It varies by manufacturer from baby blue, to teal to orange lol

this is the one i bought, added instalation kit for a 2004 s10, has the adaptor, face part and a box there make every thing work like the factory 5 cd unit.
