I found flares available from Bushwacker available for 94-02 reg & ext cab S10 & Sonoma on this website if anybody's interested. $189.95 per front or per rear pair. All 4 would be 2X that figure.

Not pushing their products. Just an observation as I'm not looking for flares myself.

Extensive modification is required to fit the rear flares - Rear Flaresroadrunner wrote:I found flares available from Bushwacker available for 94-02 reg & ext cab S10 & Sonoma
The Isuzu fenders on the rear of our truck prohibit a bolt on installation, and Bushwacker does not make a set for the second gen Hombre.

Yeah, I pretty much got that impression from the parts listing (94-02 reg & ext cab). Kinda figured that's why they didn't list the CC among them. Just thought perhaps someone might want to modify them to fit since direct fits are practically non-existent for our rear fenders but thought also someone might be looking for fronts only.

Bushwacker extend-a-fender flares are a good solution. They do reduce the already small fender opening on the front a little and the rear flares are a little too small for the rear opening, but I liked them when I had them.
They are not an option for me now with the bigger wheel well openings.

Yes. Mine have been enlarged 3" each during the Skidz Flares install.

Omigawd!!! You didn't tell me YOU were the "metal eating badger"! Pretty gutsy. I lack the confidence and desire to do something like that.HenryJ wrote:Yes. Mine have been enlarged 3" each during the Skidz Flares install.

No guts, no glory. One of the best things I have done is to open the wheel wells. Cheap easy way to gain ground clearance , using larger tires and a low center of gravity.

After reading all could about flares, have come to conclusion that about the only ones readily available today are the ZR5 flares. Right?
Heck I've thought about putting ZR2 front fenders & flares, and ZR5 flares on the back. No more bushwackers available, no more skidz, no more Ls1, that sure leaves us new-comers with little option.

Don't give up hope. Think of it as a scavenger hunt. Stalk E-bay and use the web to search for parts and find a good junkyard that can help you find things. When you finally get some of the parts you need you will feel great.

I may have had a little experience in drilling holes in your tax payer's rigs but, it was still difficult to do at first.roadrunner wrote:...............Omigawd!!! You didn't tell me YOU were the "metal eating badger"! Pretty gutsy. I lack the confidence and desire to do something like that.
I also had no clue what a SAWZALL was before discovering this site I do not think it will detract from retail or trade in value.

No. Bushwackers are still available, you must modify the rear flares. This has always been the case.okie s10 wrote:After reading all could about flares, have come to conclusion that about the only ones readily available today are the ZR5 flares. Right?... As far as I know the LS1 Flares are still available. The set for the rear of our trucks would probably not work, or be possible to modify to fit.
You have just as many options as we had in the beginning. There was just a narrow window in which the Gross Motorsports pocket flares might have been a possibility and the Skidz Flares were available.
Bushwackers are the best option out there for flares, IMO. Cost, availability and big flare look.

Anybody ever heard of or tried EGR flares? I was snooping around on parts sites and stumbled onto them. A little over 400 for a "full set of 4". Would have to call about applications because all it said was front and rear for standard side box. Probably have the same modification problems as Bushwacker I suppose. Just food for thought and possible info input.

Has anyone ever tried to pull the ZR5 or ZR2 flares off of an extended cab and put them onto the CC. A friend has a extended cab and is going big time with it. Wants to get a set of Skidz instead of the stock ones. I told him that if they fit, I would take them. Still all in talks, but....
Are the wheel wells the same size? Will they work all of the way around?Front and back?

Front is the same and would work fine. Rear however is different and you might be able to cut and make them fit but I don't know how much material they have on them. I'm sure someone else can chime in.
