I did a search but can't find what our trucks payload rating is. I did however come across a post regarding a hot tub in the back over a fire. LOL
What is the payload rating on our trucks? What is the max tow rating weight?
I want to put some pre-fab concrete steps in the back of the truck. (3 steps) I have no idea what they weigh. To guess I would say 500-600lbs for the load.

I think the max tow rating on all the crews is 5200lbs. I think the payload is 500lbs capacity. I'm not 100% sure on that, and you're owners manual should cover it.
My manual lists 5,200lbs for the max trailering capacity with anything over 350lbs tongue weight needing a WD hitch (which I might or might not get, I can't decide). It also recommends brakes for anything over 3,500lbs. My boat is near 4,200lbs or so, and it yanks it around OK. I can see the need for brakes if you are going to be doing that very often in a hilly area. It's on my list of stuff to look into, but not very high I'll admit.
