Hay everybody!
There is one question – InstaTrac trany has LEDs in switch bottoms and they must blink or flash when it runs. But what does it means when they did not (4HI is turn on and off, 4LO I did not try to – no need). Everything else works as usual. What is going on?

Try searching for information on the "Transfercase module" or "Transfercase encoder motor" if you have problems with it switching.
If your problem is that the bulbs don't work at all , the switch may need replacement.

Thanks for advice but tell me where can I find "Transfercase module" or "Transfercase encoder motor". In Owners manual written something like «If LEDs did not blink or flash see the service». I think three LEDs cannot die at the same time. May be it’s a some ground cable problem (lost, broken or something)? For now transfercase switch is works however, who knows how long it will be. How serious can be this problem at all?
As for switch replacement – it will be a costly problem when your S10 is in Russia.

I believe he was referring to the "search" link at the top of every page on this site. This is an issue that has been discussed in excruciating detail here in the past and you'll likely benefit more from reading the earlier discussion than beginning anew.GAS wrote:Thanks for advice but tell me where can I find "Transfercase module" or "Transfercase encoder motor". The following links will bring you to search results for each:

"Transfercase encoder motor"
Good Luck and welcome aboard. You'll soon discover that henryj is sometimes a little short when he hasn't gotten enough sleep. Try not to take it too personally

Sorry
Be sure you check the easy stuff first. Fuses and good grounds would be the first step.

Thanks for help guys.
So I made myself to look through many forum topics and finally found one about how to read diagnostic trouble codes on the three transfer case shift select buttons. I don’t know will it help or not – will see after one or couple weeks while I have outside temperature below 0 F. And when it warms up I’ll probably ask you next question like «How can buttons blink trouble codes if they never blink or flash at all and what to do in that case?»

If you have checked fuses , connectors, wiring and have added nothing that might have interfered, then a new switch may be in your future.
