GM Part numbers inquiry

Post by Conman »

I want to order the skidplates but figure if I'm ordering, I would get the other stuff I wanted as well.

I'm looking for the part numbers for the OEM wheel lugnuts, plastic cap to go with it, and if you guys have it, OEM locking lugnuts that work with the oem caps. I know there was a link to aftermarket ones, but if I add up shipping from many vendors, it would probably be the same if not more expensive than ordering from one place.

GMpartsdirect.com does not have a great search engine so it appears I need the part numbers as the only way to order from them off the web. Thanks.

I can't help with the part numbers but I might recommend you try these guys: http://www.partszoneonline.com/

They don't rape you for handling and shipping charges like others.

Thanks, just checked and their prices are higher than GMPartsDirect. Give and Take. So it ends up higher price than GMPD. They are closer to me in PA though so maybe parts will get to me faster though.

Thanks,

anyone have the part number(s) for the rear sway bar?

I got the part numbers for the brackets from Jim, but he bought the swaybar used so he did not have that number. I was wondering if there is a Kit number instead. It appears that GM discount the Kit compared to ordering parts separately. I've noticed that if you buy say OEM wheels using the Kit Number, it's much cheaper than buying just one wheel part number.

I think there was an ZQ8 package for non ZQ8 trucks, but that's more parts than I needed. So I was wondering if ther is a kit just for the rear swaybar?

Sorry for all the post, but I'm just trying to make one purchase instead of many. Thanks.

Cheers,

Con

BTW some part numbers for the sway bar brackets:

Pretty much the same part numbers comes up. at the bottom of the page they say their part numbers are production number so they migt not match the part numbers.

BTW, they front sway bar it says on that site is 33mm. what is ours? Unfortunately I drive too much on the streets and not enough off-road. :(

Update. I checked the prices for the GM swaybar parts and it came to a little over $140 including shipping. The Hellwig aftermarket kit for S10 was about $160 after shipping from a few vendors! I'm very impressed with GMPartsDirect.com!

Only downfall is there prices on wheel locks were way more pricey they aftermarket clone locks. :( Looks like I'll get those not from GMPD then. But pretty much they have the best prices for GM parts so far.

Any other GM mods you would do to your Crew?

Do a search for the "third shock" on the s-series forum.

I'd do that too if I was setting it up for the street handling. It is designed to cushion spring, wrap and cure the wheel hop.

Just an idea ;)

I wanted to do that but it appears my crew does not have the 3rd shock mount on my axle. If I wanted to do it, I would have to weld a bracket on. I'm probably going to get those Hellwig 550 helper springs and see if it helps axlewrap also.

Thanks,
