I came across this article - Praying Mantis
It got me to thinking about our real place in the food chain. Perhaps I have been thinking about it all wrong. I thought we , as humans were near the top of the food chain? Maybe I'm wrong.
It is the insects! They get the last meal when we expire. Probably the only thing that can survive extreme conditions anywhere on this planet. We know they have us outnumbered. Heck isn't the cockroach rumored to be able to survive the radiation from a nuclear incident?
Cross a cockroach with one of those Mantis and our days are numbered
Top of the food chain.

That's something else!!!
We have a Praying Mantis living amongst our flower beds in front of work. Yesterday, one of our employees was outside "dead heading" some flowers & the mantis reared it's ugly head at her. I thought she was going to pee her pants she was frightened so bad!!
