Which Pro-Comp tire was it, the AT, MT, or X-Terrain? The MT and X-Terrain have more meat on the sides which might cause more rubbing issues than the AT's which are kind of smooth on the sides. Do you not want to do the t-bar crank? My Goodyear MT/R's are also 30.2 in diameter, but I did at least do a 3/4" t-bar crank. I still have some rubbing when turning all the way (frame) or flexing the rear (inside wheelwell). :?

i've got the pro comp mud terrains and they've been great so far. i haven't had them off road yet but they work great in the snow and are pretty quiet on the highway.....at least compared to the swampers i ran in the past.

If it helps, Pro Comp tires are actually made by Cooper tire.

I had pro comp 33x12.5 mt on my cherokee for 3 years and I loved them on and off road. I never had a problem with them. Thats what Im buying again when I do get around to doing my truck but that will be after the triumph is finished.
