137,429 S-10's (all)

I called GM today it's still to early for a break down. They gave me a grand total on all S-10's for 2002. So, they gave me a case number 137 620 339 and to call back in January or Febuary of 2003. I will do that for sure. JH68

When you call them back, ask them if we can get LATCH retrofited in our rear seat. every vehicle Made after Sept. 2002 must have it, so I assume we can get a retrofit.

yes, i would like to know too, mine vin number says my truck was like # 136,400 or something but i doubt 136,400 were made in 2001. i never see them!

GM uses the last 5 digits of the vin to sequentially number their cars and trucks every year.

I called GM today. The lady I talk to back in December of 2002 told me the total number of all s-10's (137,429). When I called today that number was for S-10 Crew Cabs only. As for the colors of the crew cabs couldn't get the numbers for that. JH68

Yeah, that did sound low as I think they were selling over 300k s10s total. Wow, many more crews than I thought. no wonder we have so many new members!

They might have built that many crew cabs but, I have seen a few 2002 s-10 crew cabs still not sold or being used by dealers.
