2004's any better?

Post by ec4145 »

This is my first post, I'm considering buying a new 04 cc. Does anyone know if some of the past problems have been corrected, like noise from balance shaft, or faulty HVAC switch?

Is $20,000 out the door a decent deal on a new 2004 cc? Sticker is $26,410. Or should I bargain some more?

I don't know about the balance shaft tensioner, perhaps that would be a good question for GM.
I think the HVAC switch problem was either related to a faulty seal in the transfercase, and/or an overfilling situation.
What is the option list? It is hard to say how good a deal $20k is without knowing.

Appreciate your help HenryJ.

Options: sliding rear window
locking rear diff
3.73 ratio
6 disk CD
full size spare
white letter 235-75-15
vinyl floor mats

My biggest concern now is the insurance is higher than a full size silverado 4wd. I checked with 2 companies and they both said the symbol on the s-10 is higher than a full size.
