Yea no need for the blockoff plate, if it gives you some kinda trouble then go for it. But if you are using a 2002 truck the 97 or 97 engine works very well. If you are lucky enough to find a 2002 5.7 then go for that. Anyhow, you will use your 2002 computer so no need for the older emissions stuff to be attached. THere was nothing to delete in my computer because a 2002 truck never had it on v6 or v8. Any other questions just ask.

To add to the nonsense, make sure you get AC Delco GM Factory 2.8 motor mounts. My whatever they were ones are totally destroyed after 2+ years of driving on them.
