Loose / sloppy steering
Were would you guys sugest to start steering / front end repairs? It just feels sloppy and loose lately. Tires are good 35psi and full tread. 2002 crew.

Idler arm, and pitman arm, ball joints, etc. If you have not had an alignment in the last 10-20k miles, I'd suggest making an appointment to do so. They will diagnose loose and worn parts. Then replace those parts and have the alignment performed.

Re: Loose / sloppy steering
Also check for play in the steering box. An 02 could be getting a little loose there too. Not hard to adjust out either.

Re: Loose / sloppy steering
If you do need a steering box replacement, consider the ZQ8 box. It is a little quicker ratio and tends to mask or minimize steering slack. The difference although small is noticeable.
Another good addition is a steering stabilizer. With a first gen relay rod and shock it is a bolt in upgrade. Mine came off a first gen Blazer. Lots of them had them. Makes a nice smooth steering experience. More control. Again, not huge but a nice refinement.
