Just bought a 2001 S-10 Crewcab!
This thing needs some work! need's a fuel pump, canister purge soleniod, idler and pitman arms, tires, A/C inop., cracked winshield, but I'll get her good as new...........any advise would be great! I've already done a new radiator and heater core........

Heater core, back-flush if it is not leaking, fixed mine for hot heat.

Best advice, don't fix it if it ain't broke. That being said, make sure it is not running Dex. If you don't have the K05 RPO, add an engine block heater and a good battery. Think about upgrading to the larger AD244 alternator from a full size.
I love my little buddy cabin heater. If you don't garage yours, that it a top ten for cold weather.

Cold as it gets up there if it were me I'd look seriously into dual block heaters one in a frost plug on each side of the motor. Ford used to have that and called it the northland special. Worked pretty well as I recall. If you wanted to go the full boat you could add a battery heater and an oil pan heater as well.
2001 CC LS, pewter, stock, 4.3,Wait4meperformance, CFM throttle blade, Helix throttle body spacer, 4spd auto, 3button electric 4x4 shift, heavy duty factory suspension, Bilsteins, 1" rear wheel spacers, skid plates.

It must be cold where you are, 70 here today, 75 tomorrow. I am going to replace radiator and add electric radiator fan, for summertime air con.
