engine noise

I just bought a2003 crew, pewter, nice truck but it seems every time I accelerate I hear a clicking noise coming from the engine. It almost sounds like a lifter noise but I dont think that is it. Anyone else hear the same noise ?

I just got my truck and i havent noticed it...is it during hard acceleration or is it a sporadic thing

I e-mail GM several times about that balance shaft noise. To me it sounds like a hup cap loose or something like that. So, anyhow I'm thinking about trading it in for a Silverado. The dealer and I are haven't got a price we both can agree on but, were getting close. With the 3-day week end here it will be Tuesday before we get back talking deal again. I took the Chevy mechanic for a ride. I think he heard something different then what I heard. I e-mail GM with a deal for a trade they e-mailed me back to talk to my dealer. Back to the noise it seems to me that if enough people complaint about is issue GM might do something about this. JH68
