p0452

Post by border man »

Been setting this code lately. I go through about 4-5 cycles and it goes away, then 4-5 cycles later it comes back. Any ideas? I changed my fuel pump out back in May after the truck stranded me on a Sunday (autozone). I have since swapped out with another new pump, but still get the MIL light.

P0542??? That's a new one on me. Not in my list of trouble codes. Mine skips from 534 to 550.

EDIT: Looked on several websites on OBDII codes and they all indicated this code is for P0542 Intake Air Heater Circuit High. Don't have a clue how that fits into our CC's. :?:

Yes but it may show some code 2001 and up do not like : P0542 Manifold Intake Air Heater Circ Hi

I am hoping he transposed the numbers and means P0452. If that is the case he needs to read this thread: Evap Vent Valve Filter

HJ you are the man, that's the code I meant. Low Pressure something.... I looked it up online and everything led to the fuel tank pressure sensor therefore I got a new pump. By the way, changing a fuel is easy if you have the proper tools and equipment (I didn't here in NM), I had to use boxes, shoes, and other stuff to hold up the tank...

Ok guys tried the evap vent cleaning, code is still there. I get the P0452 code not the 0442. The code comes and goes depending on fuel level it seems...
