In my search for the never ending knocking noise I developed a simple but effective torsion bar mount. The stock mount is prone to making knocking noises for two reasons. Side to side movement can cause the t-bar mount to hit either side of the frame and the rubber in the stock upper eyelet can deteriorate allowing vertical movement with metal to metal contact. To eliminate the noise I made my own t-bar mounts using 1/2" female rod ends connected to 1/2" threaded shafts with urethane bushings, large fender washers, spacers, 1/2" grade 8 bolts, and nylon lock nuts. They have been holding up well for the past 15k miles, so I thought I would post a picture of what they look like in case anyone else is looking for a stronger t-bar mount or has that never ending knocking noise. The only design changes I plan on making are zerk fittings for grease, rod end seals to keep the grease in and dirt out, slightly different spacers and shorten the 1/2" threaded rod by 1". I am very happy with the results so far.

I've been following you in another forum with your antiknock quest. Looks like you may be on to something there
Luckily, I have not had the issue since my new dealership found my problem that was not related to the TB mounts. Good work
