Connecting 5th Generation ipod to sock radio
I have a 2001 s-10 crew cab. The radio is stock and has a tape player by the cup holders. My brother got me an ipod video for x-mas. That was a nice pressent. but anyways, i have been looking all over the place to try to directly connect my ipod the the radio. It seems that no one has a connector to do that for the 2001 crew cabs. the only ones that work are for the radios that have cd changers. these types of connectors disables the cd changer and only alows the ipod to work. but of course, the 2001 one trucks do not have that.
Does anyone have any ideas to connect to the radio directly. I looked at the tape deck, but the output is digital(serial output).
THANKS A BUNCH

Welcome!
You need a GM AUX ADAPTER That is what I have been using as a way to use the aux function on our radio.
Read this thread for more information.

thank you everyone
you all are a great help. thanks for the advice and help for different ways to setting up the ipod. I found a place that alows you to use the radio buttons to control the ipod. the ipod is also directly connected to the radio at the same time, it keeps charging the ipods battery. its expensive, $200. do you think its worth it?
thanks again everyone
