I am unfamiliar with this type.
The pipes look like they are attached to the fender cup. How is the pipe isolated? What allows the movement of the pipe without stressing the fender?
The ones that I have seen are a pipe exiting through a trim ring. The pipe is not attached to the trim. Yours appears to be attached?

yeah, i saw this tip on TRUCKS! project "little red wagon" and decided then and there i was going to get it, because like i said before it's so unique.
How did it feel cutting a hole that big in the fender?

but, contextually... You've got that rough finish bedliner paint on the lower portion of the fender, I assume to hide scratches and dings, and now you add a shiny chrome finish plate and pipes?... I don't know, just seems a little contradictory.

here's the short version of the exhaust cutout.
we laid out a templet that we made, becuase stylin concepts didn't provide one
then after many attempts and chickening out almost as many times we cut the hole. we drilled 6 holes around the edge to start and followed the line to each hole
and this is the trigger man, my buddy and mechanic looking wild after cutting up some perfectly good GM sheet metal!
we would have used a jigsaw but it somehow disappeared as all good tools do when you need them, but the recipricating saw did the job
the bedliner i decided on running up higher then i had at first, because the original line would have been an inch or so above the center of the oval ring. it wouldn't have been centered. when i originally herculinered the truck i had no idea of my future mods. from a distance though the crome on black really makes it stand out. it also will help with escaping exhaust fumes to resist rusting and eating away at my paint in that area.
and as i have no other choice, I like it lol

Your truck looks great, no matter what some other people might say, if you like it, that's what counts. Your truck is a one of a kind. In fact I am thinking about stealing some of your mod's Good job bro oh and by the way did you put hurculiner on your rear bumper?
no i didn't do the rear bumper, because it was already black and in good shape. i did buy some rubberized undercoating and sprayed that inside to protect against rusting. i did however continue the body line across the front bumper with the herculiner
it was ripped with stone chips and scratches before.
as for "stealing my mods" none of them are patented, so have at 'em and good luck!
