Rear fender grafting...?

Rear fender grafting...?
I really like the fiberglass front fenders that are offered for our trucks that give lots of wheel well and lots of fender extension, but, there is nothing for the rear. I think it would look strange with big fron fenders and stock rears, so, I wonder if we could remove the rear fenders fron the bed and replace them with some shortened fenders off of a stepside bed. This would place the wheel wells out and allow for some huge rear tires. The only difference that I can see, except for the lengthof the bed, is the different width of the step side inner bed and the width of the fleetside inner bed. Just a thought. I don't actually have the funds to try it, but it seems like it would work...

There is a technique thats called pulling the bed sides. That's where you take a sawzall and cut the bed inner fender between the outer bed side and the pinch welded seam. After that you extend the foot long extensions that support the corners. Check the prerunner sights for more details. If you can put on a stepside fender then maybe this is an alternative.
