ordered my superlift from 4 wheel parts wholesalers today

well i got impatient and called 4 wheel parts to ask them about the new lift. they had no idea what i was talking about and said i needed a part number. i then called up superlift and the guy on the phone said they had just gotten the official part number for the kit this morning ( it's k776) so he gave it to me and i passed it along to 4wp. the salesman at 4wp looked up the number then said he had to call superlift and pass the info along to thier purchasing people. so he took my number and said he'd call me back...which i didn't expect to happen so i was suprised when my phone rang. he said they talked to superlift and got all the part numbers/pricing info and he asked if i wanted to go ahead and order the kit...which i quickly did. i got it fo $1749....i don't know how good that is but the guy at superlift said retail was going to be $2000 and 4wp said i'd be the first person getting one from them. i know i still have to wait awhile for it to ship but the salesman said to call back wed. to get an accurate shipping date. he wasn't sure if it would drop ship right to me or go to them first because they are supposed to get 20 or 30 of the kits. i'll let every one know the date they tell me as soon as i find out. if anyone wants to call 4wp the guy i talked with was eric and his extension was 5466....he'll know exactly what your asking for when to tell him non zr2 crewcab s-10.

i just checked the superlift web site and the 6" non zr2 kit is now on there. it wasn't on there this morning but now it is!

And what I like is this: "Ideal geometry - A new “dropped” centerlink keeps tie rod geometry in-check. Superlift’s proven Centerlink Stabilizing System supports the centerlink to prevent premature pitman and idler arm wear. Some other manufacturers instead use longer tie-rod assemblies, which create severe toe angle changes as the suspension cycles."

I do notice that about the TM lift. Oh well. Sounds like a good system. I just wonder if Realift will get some relocators for it. I would think the same ones for the TM lift should work with it.

that's funny, because I too called and spoke with an Eric. He quoted me a price of $1800 for the kit with the Superride shocks and with the Bilstein shocks, $2000. add an extra $339 for the skid plate and steering stabilizer. I decided to hold off on this purchase, and oh by the way he said they will only have around 150 kits available.

I think I may hold off for awhile on purchasing this kit and wait for some
feedback.

that stinks that they told you $1800.00. i swear i'm paying $1749.00. with shipping it was supposed to be $1818.00 and i asked if he could do $1800 even including shipping. he talked to his boss and then said they'd sell it for $1800.00 with the shipping. you might just have to play hard ball with them until 4wp has an official printed price in a mag or on their web site. do their people get paid on commission? if so maybe they are just trying to see what they can get away with and put even more money in their pockets. i've ordered lots of stuff from them in the past and never had a problem....but then again i've never ordered such a new product.

Welcome to the world of commision sales. I recommend "document", "document" and "document". then "print" and keep a running file. Am sure Superlift is sincere but, now you are down to the "n_tcutting". Log phone calls, their time and date. Log the entire name of the representatives and their ext #.

I think Superlift is a sincere real company but, they cannot always vouch for all their representatives.

I think this is my first post on this thread and have always desired this lift but, realize it is beyond my means at this time.

All I am saying, is try to take notes and document everything you do when ordering. This has nothing to do with this particular transaction. It should be a guide for all online or telephonic transactions.

From what I can tell from the outside looking in...."Superlift" is upfront and very helpfull. Like any agency or company there can be mis communication. Heck, we do it here!.

Am stepping off my soap box (whatever that is)

I do not post my prices and I discourage my customers from posting quoted prices, the reason being that posted prices below a certain point can get me in trouble with my dealers. **COUGH** Superlift 6" Group Purchase about a month ago **end COUGH**. This goes for all dealers, not just me.

You may exchange quoted prices privately. In fact, that would be a good thing for my business.

However, you must contact me personally for a price quote.

because it was a group purchase and there were like 30 ordered

I think that's KCustom's truck all photoshopped.

I know that SL has done that in their advertising, because i know the guy that works there that has the pewter Fullsize that you see advertised in some of their ads -- sometimes you see a reallllly similar red one with different wheels....well it's actually the pewter truck with some different rims and paint photochopped.

I have to agree, it' a little too pricey for me right now through
4 wheel parts & I didn't like hearing my price quote was $50 higher.
& I find it hard to believe that an upgrade to the Bilsteins is an extra $200.

Guys,

The kits are priced the way they are simply because it's a new kit. People are willing to pay the higher prices, especially since the next batch will probably take a while to go through production. As a dealer, I can't say I blame them for trying to get the full selling price out of the kit. On the other hand, everyone in the industry is usually dictated price by 4-Wheel Parts. It just seems this time they're not trying to undercut everyone.

As far as the Bilstein shocks go, that's not uncommon and is realistic. Those things really are expensive.

I agree on the shocks things -- go price some billsteins on anything -- they're not cheap, especially if they're a special-built just for this lift shock. Billstein's quality and perfomance is pretty well known. the Superlift shock could be made by anyone.

It reminds me of when I had my Z24 and was getting into autocrossing, I needed an adjustible set of struts - Paid almost $500 for a full set of 3 way Koni's, where the similar setup for a VW or a Neon was about $300. Koni made the strut for the J-body platform in terribly small numbers, but it was good product.

hey guys,
i just wanted to let everyone know i did some calling around and i found some good prices on the new kit. i called national tire & wheel and they told me $1729.00 for the kit with shipping. rocky mountain suspension didn't even know what i was talking about....even after i gave them the part number and said it was on superlifts web site. tyres international had the best price $1585.00! i didn't believe it so i had my brother call them back and he was given the same price. now yesterday i paid $1749.00 from 4-wheel parts so i was kinda mad and i gave them a call. i talked with a sales guy and he said they have their price match policy so they'd match that price. he put me on with a customer service guy, i gave him the info, and he said i'll call you right back. he called back and said he was quoted 18 something and i got pissed. i said cancel my order....i'll buy it from tyres. he was like hang on what number did you call? i gave him their number and said i didn't want the bilsten shocks...just the basic k776 kit. he put me on hold,called them with the number i had, and when he came back on the phone he was like "your right...it's $1585.00 ....i'll credit your visa $164 dollars right now....then he tried saying the must have quoted him the wrong kit the first time he called....yeah right...i'll believe that one! either way i got the cheaper price but what a pain in the a#*! if you don't mind playing hard ball you can try and deal with 4wp but if did it again i'd go with tyres international. their number is 1-800-321-7123 and again the part number you need to give them is k776. i talked with superlift today and the guy there had nothing but good things to say about tyres int. sorry that was so long but i wanted to pass along the info.

I thought the welding required is for the optional steering stabilizer -- I think you have to weld a mounting tab or 2 on somewhere.

The rear axle requires the welding of two new spring perches to move the axle from on top to under the rear springs.
