Transfer case fluid

I replaced my transfer case fluid tonight. The thing is, it looked like more came out than what I put in. I filled it up with roughly 1.2 quarts. Is that how much goes in there? I obviously couldn't put any more in, but just checking with you guys to put my mind at ease. I really need to pick up a manual :roll:
