recalls

Post by jayall23 »

Since I bought my 2001 CC used in 2003, how can I find out if any recalls were ever performed before I owned the truck. What (if any) realls have the 2001's had. And Lastly, If recalls were not performed what can I do about it now that is 2-3 years later? Thanks Guys

Any dealership should be able to "run" the VIN and it will show work that has been done, or needs to be.

Recalls are safety related and they should fix them regardless of being outside the warranty period.

Here is a start. Recalls are at the top. The rest of 115 of them are service bulletins. But yea, the dealer has to verify the VIN to see if it's included (which is a way for them to get out of warrenty work IMO).

Mmmm, notice the campain for warrenty extension? I wonder what up with that. Maybe cause of the engine vibes people are getting?
