Info on the Superlift 6 inch kit...

Post by adrenalnjunky »

My fiancee told me that one of her co-worker's husbands just opened up an OffRoad Innovations delaership here in town, so I went to check it out today -- guy was cool, and I talked to him about my truck and tha tI wanted to eventually lift it and stuff -- I got him to price me the PA bodylift, and he asked me if I would be interested in a 6 inch Superlift suspension lift for it too...I was thinking this guy don't know anything about my truck and has seen the listings for the Zr2 --I said, "Mine's not the Zr2, and he responds with "I know, but Superlift prototyped the 6 inch for standard 4x4's using my truck."

Sure enough he showed me pictures of a standard cab S10 with a 6 inch Superlift kit, 2 inch BL, and 35 x 12.50's under it.

Now, I know that there are all kinds of gearing concerns and such, but it just so happens that he says the 6 inch S10 kit was put on the back burner but Superlift is thinking about producing it now, and if nothing else, he might be able to get them to produce one or 2 if anyone is interested in it.

West Monroe, La. is home to both Superlift and Skyjacker, and that just happens to be where I live. My fiancee also told me that one of the girls she works with is a design engineer @ Superlift as well.

Hmm....I told the guy @ ORI that I'd get back with him next week about the BL, and I'll ask more about the Superlift kit at that time.

Just thought a few of you guys might be interested.

I think you should go and offer your truck as a test platform for the crew cab, and get a free lift out of the deal..........

They actually measured an s10 that the guy who owns ORI in WM owned.

You got any decent trails out dere in Calhoun? I'm still runnin highway tires so I'm not equipped for anything serious yet.

Lemme know something though --I'm down for it one weekend. Ordering BL in a few weeks, Daystars are at my apartment, will just need some 30's to finish it out for the time being.
[size=75]Thanks, CHRIS

I called Superlift again yesterday because I was getting antsy. Sure enough, the bigger non-ZR2 S-10 lift is still there on the backburner because of all the 04's out (Ford F-150, etc...), but the guy assured me that it was not off the drawing board. Patience...patience...come on, chant it with me....patience... :D

I'm off work tomorrow-- I'll run by the ORI shop and see if the guy there has any good pics of his setup and I'll see if I can scan them or something.

If I'm feeling particularly weak I might order a bodylift from him.

6" of lift and sitting on 35s :? i wouldnt think so. I was on about 6.5" of lift and could only sit on 32s, but 31s killed my front end. haha like NTX said unless ur SFA, Im on about 11 of lift in the fornt and 10 in the rear and 35 is the most I could fit.
