I still have a Ham radio with his name on it , if he can find the time to take that Tech test.

I REALLY like my visor mount. I'm not sure that mounting low in the center console would be the best place. IMO that would be too low and hard to see. It might be too tempting to have your eye off the road for too long.
I'd look to the dash, column or visor for a good place. JMO

I like adding the O2 sensors to mine, makes it easy to see when one is heading south on me.

got the trans. temp. to work i was seeing 140-155 through town and on the highway air temp here today was around 47. . this seems low compaired to what ive read i dont have a trans cooler that i know of . . u guys with trans coolers. . what temp. r yall seeing?
You have a cooler in the radiator stock just no axillary cooler. I have a large aux cooler on mine in series with the stock radiator cooler and my temps in the outside air temp range you mention run 125-135. The real benefit of the aux cooler is that at higher outside temps and while pulling something temps don't go up as high as without it. Excess heat kills transmissions. I used to have a chart from Trans-Go that showed how the usable life and lubricating ability of the fluid drops as temps go up. It is quite amazing how fast that happens as the temp goes up.

Very similiar to the transgo info I used to have and highly accurate. Only difference I see is the temps are slightly higher than previous possibly due to the partial or higher percentage of synthetics in the trans oil now as compared to non-synth of the past.

My ScanGuageII finally returned!
No explanation or paperwork in the box with it. It was returned with a new cable, so maybe that was their solution? I will take it that it has a clean bill of health from Linear logic now.
It is all boxed up and headed for Kentucky now. Ready to ride in a yellow school bus, Heep, or what ever else might need watching
A great tool, I'm glad it is going to a good home.
