Bumper Build
Here is a link to my bumper build;
http://www.s10forum.com/forum/f222/bumper-build-447201/
It has been a lot of work but I think it is coming along nicely.
Oh, comments are welcome!

Re: Bumper Build
I thought I put this post in the NOS section because it is on a blazer. I just wont take pics of the whole truck and no one will know.

Re: Bumper Build
I hate for a mod to get lost in NOS. You are fine in the mods section as this would directly transfer to all the s-series. As long as we know yours is a Blazer, we are good. No confusion.

Have you thought about relocating that control box? That is pretty easy to do.
That would allow you to keep the grilles crossbar intact.
Trimming the top of the winch mount face down a bit will help your cooling. Flush to the top of your bumper ends and dipping down to the fairlead roller in the center perhaps?
It will be neat to see it all done. What are you thinking about for a finish?
BTW, check out the fullsize bumpstops thread. You are going to need them with the added weight on the front.

Re: Bumper Build
I did think about moving the control box. I picked up a spare grill for $100 in case I change my mind.
Full size bump stops may be needed but I am only running 31s so I may be ok.
As for the coating? We have a lineX member in our club so I may go that way. For now it will probably get a spray bomb paint job.
Cooling has not been an issue for me yet. I don't think it gets as warm where I am. +30 C. Is usually the warmest we see and that won't usually last more than a week at a time.

Re: Bumper Build
I was thinking a small light bar, but that is still in the works. I did get a hawse for the front. I had a fairlead but it stuck out too far IMHO. Took the day off today and went to the beach. It was a nice break!
Re: Bumper Build
Ok, I did a quick rattle can paint job done the other day.
Still have to make light mounts, skid from the bumper to the front cross member and finish the winch connections. Quite a bit of work left but I am liking the progress. I think I am going to paint the chrome strip black so the missing section is not so obvious.
