My truck is bouncing

Post by MikeyZR5 »

Hey yall, I think I need to replace my shocks....i dunno give me some feedback, when I am travelling down the road and hit a slight bump, my truck bounces up and then scrapes the pavement, I havent seen what is scraping, but i think it is my Safari Bar bracket...but could the stock shocks being so sorry cause this kinda problem?

Wow, that's not good. I noticed that when I hit some bumps, the stock tires hits the fender flares. so we are pretty low to begin with.

yes, all crews need shocks right from when they bought them off the dealer lot. the shocks that are there are just for looks. get new shocks immediately

Let me know what you come up with. I have Rancho9000 on my Trooper but I am replacing them with OME/ARB shocks as I feel the adjustablity is not as good as I hoped. The Trooper is a heavy truck so I can only use three and four(out of five) settings cause 1 and 2 are way to soft and 5 is way to firm. The OME are designed per truck so I'm going with a matched shock instead of an universal one like Rancho. OME does not make them for the crew. :(

I'm interested in the Bilsteins as well. Let me know what model you are going with.

Thanks,

ya most people go with the bilstiens.

i have them on the rear cuz i got them for free.

i dont really care about the ride. i just wanted the shocks to be way firm. so i got the procomp 9000's to match the bilstiens. they are really firm too.
