New terminal ends for your cables? They make longer bolts and bolts with studs for the battery terminals. I would suggest a new battery with dual posts. I connect the stock cables to the side and the accessories to the top posts.

Check out the battery thread. I am running the AGM Deka Intimidator. Word is that Sears Diehard Platinum is a good choice too. Those are what I would be looking for today.

I didn't see a smiley so I don't think you were kidding.Horsehammerr wrote:Interstate
Interstate does not offer an AGM battery. They are all flooded cell design. AGM has advantages explained in the battery thread.
While the Interstate battery does OK , electrically, the case is a problem. They do not leak as bad as the Les Schwab batteries, but come a very close second.
I would and do avoid Interstate batteries, NAPA, and Les Schwab. All of what those have to offer have problems.
If a single post flooded cell is what you want, right now the best bang for the buck is the Walmart Maxx. My second choice would be a 7yr Delco.
I suggest looking for AGM.

Just drill the connector wire holes out a bit or replace with bigger connectors.....Or get the new bolts that HJ described with the one screw end that holds the regular cables to the battery & have an additional ternial on the end to add accesories. Replacing the battery-->~$80, Replacing the connectors or terminal bolts--->$5. Your call. I this exact set up running my electronic brake & connector for a removable winch.

My Interstate has top pole and side screw mounts. It has been in my truck for 75000 miles and 3 years of flawless operation. No leaks no problems.
