Plug wire sets - What are you guys using?
I searched and couldn't find anything about spark plug wire sets...
What are you guys using for the 2003 4.3L V6?
I heard the MSD 8.5mm wires are good quality, and I found some at http://www.jegs.com/i/MSD/121/32839/100 ... 5346|10691# but this et is only for 1996 thru 2002 and it doesn't specifically say it's for S10 trucks....Good idea to get this set?
Any ideas on a good set of performance plug wires would be appreciated.

Taylor SpiroPro wires. TAY-74035 $54.99
Good price and quality. Much better than stock. I like Taylor since the sparkplug boots are molded to the wire. This gives a good place to grab for removal and less chance of tearing a wire. Good seal too , for less leakage.
There are a few good threads:
Plug Wires
Taylor Spiro Pro plug wire kit
Spark plug wires and ignition coil

OK, those sound like they'd do just fine...especially since you can use them with the stock wiore looms.
Hopefully, they'll offer this set in different colors although that isn't critical (I can get by with stock black)

They are available in three or more colors. Black , Red, and Blue. I think neon and pastel colors may be available too.
I like black. It hides well and doesn't look dirty.

Yes, a nice pastel color would go good with the new window treatments
No, I was thinking of red since some of the hot rods used to run red, blue, or yellow back in the day.
Just a little eye candy under the hood.
Might even get some custom valve covers while I'm at it.
But, so far I'm not finding anything much for the 4.3L V6

I've still got my 8.5 mm MSD wires that I purchased 2 yrs ago sitting in a box that has now been moved from my kitchen table to my basement "to do area" next to the other parts. I just wanted to check out that 100K mile warranty that GM gave me...

Brule, just to confirm, are you running the taylor thundervolt 8.2mm wires with your MSD. I am in the market for wires and considering the Taylors.

I'm using MSD Super Conductor 8.5mm wires on my 05 ZR2 Blazer & 96 Impala SS and Taylor Thundervolt 8.2mm wires on my 88 S10 Blazer and I'm very happy with the performance of all 3 plug wire sets.
I also use Accel 48k volt coils on all 3 vehicles since they are the highest output plug in coils available.
