Here are some "concept" design vehicles before they hit the market. Notice how much they differ from what is put in production. I'm starting off with a Chevy S10-style "2nd generation" made in the 1990's called the "highlander" that was "expected to hit the market" in 1993. A 2002 concept "Chevy Cruz" originally scheduled for market in 2004 to replace the failed Chevy SSR "wanna-be truck" and a 2004 concept "Crew Cab Colorado" set to launch in 2007 built on a Hummer H3 Frame and Suspension

I stumbled upon these while searching for other Chevy Crew Cab's and looking into the "history" behind the Chevy Small Class trucks, I must say after viewing those "concept designs" I <3 my S10 Crew Cab, a real solid truck... With that said I can't say if those sources are 100% accurate but I thought they were interesting to see what designers THINK the public wants, and then what really gets produced by erasing the radical ideas that are prolly too expensive for mass production, or maybe they modify them so much to make them more universal and suitable for each persons needs (aka LS, STD, LT, Z packages, etc) I have no clue what their reason for producing vehicles so radical and toned-down than concepts.

Nice styling but it seams that GM has a lot of ideas that they don't put into play like the Camaro that everyones been waiting for. They need to put it in gear before its too late and they lose everyone to the import market.
I always said I wold never go import but I'm driving a Nissan now because GM didn't have any thing I liked.
