140 amp stock GM alt...???

I read somewhere that there is a 140amp alternator that came stock on some other GM vehicle, and it bolts right on to a 4.3L engine.

Anybody have any idea what GM vehicle(s) I could go to the parts house and ask for an 140amp alternator for, and it would bolt right on to my 4.3L engine?

The reason I'd rather not go after market is because if I can find out which 140amp AC Delco alt will work, I can buy it with a lifetime warranty and simply exchange it if it ever craps out.

So, the AC Delco AD244 140 amp alternator will bolt right on?

I'd probably need a wiring adapter, right?
I found where to get those from that other thread.

Will the stock built in regulator work OK?

Read to the end. The AD244 is a direct bolt in , no modifications other than a longer belt. It is all there.
