I Run 1.25" Spacers On The Rear Just To Make 'Em Line Up With The Front . They Are Not Needed They Just Make The Truck Look Better IMO

I never had a problem with 30x9's on stock rims, with no lift/fender cut mods. Everything was stock and I never rubbed once, but (as said on here several times before) every truck is slightly different. I thought someone had said they were able to fit 31's with stock tires and no mods (?). I didn't have a rubbing issue until I switched to a 15x8 w/ 5.5" backspacing aftermarket wheel, and the rubbing was very slight.
[size=75]'01 CC w/ a bunch of Mods. More always on the way.

I have said it before, and will again. I was able to rub the stock optional tires size 235/75-15.
Anything as big as or bigger than those has a real potential to rub.
If you are careful and the tires run small you can get away with a little more.

Re: 31x10.50x15
Even with a 2" body lift, 1-1/2" lift rear shackles and a 1" t-bar crank my 31's would rub on the frame at full turn and the rear tires without spacers would rub the inside of the fender well when fully articulated.Taylorized wrote:No rubbing at all even if I turn all the way!!

I am very surprised that you don't have any rubbing running 31's without and mods.
Do they rub when your fully articulated?
Have you looked at your frame in the front to see if there is a shiny spot where most of us have experienced rubbing?

The 235/75R15 is 28.8" and a 30 can range anywhere from 29.5 to above 30" depending on which brand you choose. Just check the actual diameter measurement that the company lists. I believe my 30" Cooper Discoverer S/Ts are 29.6" actual diameter.MARBLEYARD wrote:not completely off subject but, what's the difference between a 30x9.5x15 and a 235/75x15?

I have the MTX's. They are in between a all terrain and a mud terrain. They have some noise on the highway. If you spend most of your time on the street I would have to recommend the BFG all terrain KO's over the mtx's. I go waterfowl hunting and I go through a lot of mud and the MTX's work great and are reasonable on the highway, rain, and awesome in the snow. They look really good in person too. I don't know if they cause a rougher ride because I cranked the tbars when I put my mtx's on and it caused a stiffer ride.MARBLEYARD wrote:not completely off subject but, what's the difference between a 30x9.5x15 and a 235/75x15? I ask because I am still shopping and mickey thompson has the 30's for a good price, that is if they are good tires (the baja mtx). If you know anything about the thompsons let me know.

I've got 15x7 w/4" backspace and no lift. I couldn't turn the wheel more than 30 degrees without rubbing until I tightened the torsion bars and bent the fender lip up and out of the way. Now I only rub at about 3/4 turn with a bump.cdnuser wrote:

Which member is Barch? Did he have a BL?
