1987 Camaro Wheels Updated 3-14-07

Post by gocntry »

Does Anybody Know Or Know Where I Can Find The Backspacing On A 1987 Camaro Wheel? How About The Bolt Pattern? Will This Fit The S-10?

Camaro Wheels

Does This Seem To Be A Good Deal??

Thanks For Your Input

all F-bodies as well as S-series trucks have
5 X 4.75" bolt pattern.
but those 87 Camaro wheels offset is only compatible with 2WD s-10`s, not 4WD.

93-later F-body wheels have about the same offset as 4WD S-10`s do....

Do You Mean Compatible As Far As My Stock S-10?
Future Plans Include Flares-Bodylift- And Bigger Tires And If These Are 4.5" BS There Are Some Here Running 4-4.5" Backspacing.
So Considering Future Upgrades Would These Still Be A Bad Choice?

You might want to check those carefully. The rim width and rearspacing may be different from front to rear. My neighbor has a set for his S-10. I don't remember the specifics , and it may have been the 16" wheels.

As the page I posted says, and HJ, each year is different...The front had a different BS & rim width than the rear possibly. I guess it all depended on what GM wanted to do--or what extra parts they had. You actually have to ask the seller or look and measure!!!!

I'm almost sure those wheels have the same specs as the 2wd 98-04 15"x7" alloy wheels. Same B.S. front and rear from that year Camaro.

Well Spring Is Here And I Had Some Time To Play......

How About Some Opinions Please

These Would Be Painted/Powdercoated Black If I Use Them.....
The Camaro Rims Are 4.25" Backspacing

I Also Have A Set Of RockCrawlers (round hole style) That Are 3.75" Backspacing,

Or I Could Use The Stock ZR5 Rims....

I Am Going For A Black/White Look To The Truck No Chrome At All, And Looking To Get Some 33 X 10.50's On There In The Near Future..

Looks Good = :thumb:

I Dunno = :?:

Yuck! = :puke:

I've never been crazy about those wheels myself. If you're going black, the rockcrawlers would be my choice. :D

I had 87' Camaro rims on my 96 s10 2wd and they didn't rub at all. They actually looked pretty good too! I'll see if I can dig out a photo and post it.

IMO I think they would look a little nicer with a little contrast. Like this.

I had those same wheels on my 89 S-10 with a 4" trailmaster lift and 32-11.5 tires. Stock wheels rubbed to much on the inside. So I played aroud with these wheels and figured they were perfect with that offset only minor rubbing on outside.

Then after those worked out ok I ordered these. With same backspacing.

Those will definetly look better if you raise it up.
