Mag-lite mount
Hello all..... Iwas thinking (if it is not a pita )of mounting a D cell Mag-lite on the passenger side of the ctr. consol. Question: how do you and how hard is it to remove the consol so I can thru bolt the mounting brackets or will self tapping screws be enough to hold it, much easier but I fear not the strongest. Any input appreciated, stay safe, mjmcdowell

I'd remove the console and use bolts. It's not hard to remove. 4 screws if, I remember.
It's similar to this floor shift console

The center console is not hard to remove, but unless you plan to back the material with some sort of steel reinforcement, I would find another option. The console material (plastic) becomes rather brittle with time. I am afraid that the added mounts would break the console eventually.
You might consider mounting one on the "B" pillar, or beside the seat like this -
The plastic in those pieces seems to remain more pliable.
I have been happy with where mine is mounted. Those are Quickfist mounts- QuickFist Mounting hardware

That's also where I mounted my rechargeable mag.
