Somethings wrong with my front axle/4x4

Post by jajwrigh »

Last fall I was cruising along at highway speeds and this horribly loud noise started coming from my front axle on the passenger side. It was to the point where I couldn't hear myself stop. My light showed I was in 2 wheel drive, but I have reason to believe the truck was trying to go into 4 wheel drive by itself. I don't understand how that is possible, but thats what happenned. When I limped home I put it into 4 high and went back and forth to see if it would release or not. It finally did when I went into 4 wheel low. A few months went by and everything was fine and it happenned again. The second time it was worse and to the present, The truck won't really move in either 4 wheel drive. What is going on and what is it going to cost me? It really frusterates me how a truck that was a year old at the time could have so many problems! #$%$^%&

I don't know what you are talking about. If I posted something there, it must have been a long time ago and now I don't remember. Could you reply here as well? I really need help and you are the only one to respond. Thanks.
