When do the mods end?

Just when I thought I was satisfied and done with mods...AGAIN!

I came across a deal on a used Safari bar on ebay. Darn my luck ..I bought it

I'll mount/modify it to help protect my winch, when it is on the front.

Who knows maybe a couple lights too?

Cool I would like to see some pics when you get it on. What size/make winch do have? Does it pull you out ok? I have an 8k warn & a snach block, but im thinking of selling it and getting a 9500lb. What do you think?

I have a Superwinch S3500. Yes it is small , but it will drag an S-10 pretty good

If I need more capacity, that is what pulley blocks are for

Warn, I think the 8000 is more than adequite for most situations. Of course we haven't seen any pics of the SFA yet. Maybe you will be pushing the 5 ton mark by the time it is done?

As for the bar- It is just a Westin Safari bar (light bar) . Seapahn has, or had, one on his BlaZeR2. We'll see what it ends up being with some modifications.

The mod's never end. We're always finding someway to better our rides. I can't tell you how many times I've told the wife, "this is the last one, I promise"... then there it goes again!..

ya that light bar is cool looking, but it takes away from your approach angle big time.

so i guess you will have to modify it to fit your bl hugh?

I've been done with mods for quite a while now. Only fixing things as they break, which is the front drive shaft for now. But that will be fixed soon with some'm way better!

Guess I've been busy playing with the Camaro also. It passed inspection last friday, been driving it allot lately, fun car! Sounds great with the dynomax hi-flow exhaust!

The aproach angle did suffer, but not so bad for the areas that I frequent

I got it on just in time for this Sunday's ride. I thought it would scrape, but not a nick

I really wanted it to help protect the winch from damage, so after modding the brackets to raise it and gusseting them. I cut the center bar near the light tabs, capped both, then added a mandrel bent tube below. It looks a little "goofy" , but maybe it will grow on me. It does serve it's purpose.

It was a long day and it is pretty dirty now so I'll get some pics soon.

haha...don't you wish! The mods will never end now that you have "seen the light" and bought a true four wheel drive.

hmmm, brule, i dont think i have ever seen a bar like that. i think it would look sweet with 4 6" lights across the top. and mabey a red zig zag night rider light going accross the bottom bar

Sometimes I think "Kit" had something to do with the #$&@# PCM in this truck! It won't let me get away with as many "adjustments" as I'd like. Hmmm maybe the zig-zag light would make it happy with the thermostat?

I had to move my old lights , since the bar blocked them, I have been considering a big set of Hellas though.
