okay since some of you have known me since the creation of this site, you have seen me trash my s-10 and then get a 4 runner and then just skip straight to a buggy and actually compete in rockcrawling.
well i also, went thru 2 rv's and 2 tow rigs and different setups trying to find the perfect balcance or setup for my trips of camping in the desert and towing up mountains.
well now i need to tow 2 rigs and a toy hauler for next year. so i got this.
Does the trailer look like your sig line? You do like Space Blue Metallic trucks, don't you
That should do the job. What engine/trans?

Keep an eye on the nitrate levels in the coolant and add additive as needed annually to prevent electrolysis from pitting the cylinders. I like Delo 400 15/40w engine oil. Using it you should see the million mile mark. That sounds like way more kitty than you need. Guess no propane injection will be needed
I went in and got my Chauffeurs license on my 18th birthday and hold a CDL to this day. Did you have any trouble testing?
What ever you do ...do NOT take up any long haul trucking! It is a good living for some, but the fastest way to end a family. This comes as advice from a good friend in the business. I did drive a short time for Kraft and Coca-Cola via a private contractor. That is a single man's job. Good experience and fun way to see the country.
Enjoy it Heck of a way to get a truck with a built in compressor and "on board air" though
Does it have a good sized sleeper, or do you have to build one?

One more suggestion: Use a "slick disc" on the fifth wheel. Grease gathers too much dirt and eats away the plate.

Geez Hobie, what are you planing on hauling, heavy equipment? Do I here triple digits?.....ya I can see you doing 70mph over the grapevine passing four wheelers all the way! Nice tractor and one hell of a motor you got under that hood.
paul, it went great. i learned a ton but i havent been able to put alot of the knowledge to good use. i learned how to build linked suspensions for crawlers and for race trucks. and i learned a ton of other fab tricks.
i did go over to someone's house the other day, and i built a custom front crossmember and hangers. when i was done, no one could believe how good it turned out. they said that it was as good as any other weldiing that they had seen done before
