I just installed a tranny cooler on my Blazer and its seems to be running hot. At idle I dont have a problem, but yesterday when I drove it to school she was running hot. Then I lost a tranny line on the way home, btu that was my fault...I guess I didnt tighten the clamp all the way. No big deal I got a new clamp and some fluid back in. After that she was running at 210 and really wouldnt go any lower. I was thinking maybe when I took fans off to mount the cooler that maybe they werent close enough to the radiator, but I glanced at them and they seem pretty close to me. The lil temp sensor for the fans is back in the same spot(I had to take it out and put ti back in to get fans off) its not as a snug fit as before, but its still in the same spot. Im suspecting the radiator might be at fault here.
This is the side of my rad

Those pictures are proably over a year old and that side of the tank has gotten worse. Im at work now or else I would take some pics of it, but I will once I get home. I have already had those plastic tanks replaced once, because it sprung a leak and the side of the tank looked just like these do now.
Any ideas anyone?

Isn't it really hot on the east coast right now? You're in the heat wave that set records here just a week and a half ago. My CC didn't like the temps around 115* and the coolant stayed at 220* even while going 70 mph on the freeway. 210* really isn't all that bad and won't cause any damage. Electric fans although much better than the stock clutch fans still have their limits. I guess nothing I said really answers your questions.
