the paint on my rear drivers side door is noticably different. I took her to a body shop place to remove a dent and the guy asked me if i had gotten into an accident and ahd it repainted. It has 31K and I am wondering if there is something wrong with the paint on the door. It is somewhat noticable in picture but is more noticable up close, at an angle and extremely noticable at dusk
what should I do?
paint seems different

GM paint quality has always been so so. I noticed the paint is uneven on my Pewter color also. Hopefully the new colorado they raise the bar on quality.

It is possible there was a factory defect that was repaired before it even reached the dealer.
The light pewter color is very tricky. There are nine variations on the same paint code. (mine was variation #2).
The color seems to change at different angles, looking lighter straight-on and darker when viewed at an angle.
Personally ,knowing how hard it was to get a reasonable match when my hood was painted, I'd leave it alone.
I believe the paint is covered for defects and degradation, but not to match exactly The best you could expect done , if you were to demand warranty work, would be to get a new paint job. It would not be as good as the original paint is now.
