Hi, I've been reading posts on this website for a while and decided to become a member. I have a 1999 GMC Jimmy 4 door with a body lift and 31" Trxus tires. If you want to see pictures and videos of my vehicle, go to my Cardomain website. This website has been great for information. Keep up the good work.

Welcome to the site. I am glad we found you
I noticed you replaced your idler arm and pitman arm with moog parts, did you have a problem with those parts? I have replaced my ball joints with moog parts, last time I got a alignment the shop told me my tie rods were bent and needed to be replaced. I was wondering if moog makes those parts too? It looks like you have a good plan for your rig.

Thanks for the replies.
Steve2003 - I had a local shop replace the idler arm and pitman arm last Monday because my vehicle was getting hard to keep in a straight line on the freeway (and it was spring break so I didn't have school) so I can't really say how much better these parts are than stock. I did some research on zr2.com and people said they were much stronger than stock so I used them. For the tie rods, I looked on Summitracing.com and searched for "tie rods" - GMC - Jimmy - 1999 - Moog parts and it shows 5 tie rod parts made by Moog. You've got a nice truck too.

I am having that same problem and have gotten two alignments, it hasn't helped much, although I did have a camber problem and the alignment helped that.
I did a search on Summit too and didn't find anything. Probably because I was spelling tie rods (ty rods) incorrectly when I did the search. Thanks for that info.ericsgmcjimmy wrote:I looked on Summitracing.com and searched for "tie rods"
