Replacing sparkplugs

My 03 CC has 30k and I was planning to replace the spark plugs. How do you get to the plug behind the steering shaft?

Also, which plugs to you guys suggest?

Why do you want to change your plugs when you only have 30k miles? :? The stock platinums are good for at least 50k and GM rates them to 100k although they will be in pretty bad shape by then. I think the stock plugs are good, but others here are having good results with the NGK Iridiums. As far as the plug behind the steering shaft a wobble extension or u-joint might help. It is also easier to change the plugs if you go through the wheel wells. :wink:

Go through the wheel well. I pushed the rubber boot up the steering shaft and then used a short plug socket with the hex head end. I used a open end wrench on the hex heed. It was a knuckle buster but it worked.

without any lift or other modification, the u-joint in the steering shaft lines up almost exactly in front of that center plug on the driver's side. Turning the wheel left to right and back a little at a time, you should be able to gain a little more room to work by aligning the thin part of that joint just right. helped me anyway. good luck

Thanks for that bit of advise :thumb: Thats what I had to do to get mine off :D
45,000 miles and my distributor cap and rotor had corrision and all 6 spark plugs were fouled :?
