I've been thinking of having my grill shell chrome plated. I found an outfit that plates plastic. Right now my white truck has a silver shell w/ a billet grill in it. The job isn't cheap $500 but the look may be worth it. I see a lot of full size chevys with chrome and that mayor of Truckville has a big chrome grill shell.
Any opinions?

It might be hard to maintain all chrome. My center bar shows some nicks already , the ones on the painted surfaces are less noticable.
I'm pretty sure I wouldn't want mine mistaken for a "D" from Truckville

The chrome shop is in California.
They say the cost would be $250 if I prep sanded it with 2000 grit paper. But I know that deal if the job weren't satisfactory It wouldn't there fault. They say to make it more durable clear coat could be applied. That would be ok until it yellowed & flakes off I had to redo my last set of clear coat wheels every three years even the factory clear didnt last.
I sure don't want to be mistaken for the "D"
I may be leaning toward that new exhaust system anyway

Now that the wheels are finished & look factory I'll start on the dual exhaust design.
