This is primarily directed at AZS10Crew. I have a decent set of N90 S-10 rims that I bought used off of a member of ZR2.com. They were purchased to toss on my truck in case a wheel oriented warranty issue came up.
Have been thinking about using them to correct any back spacing issues in the future. Since automotive finishes is your bread and butter could you take the time (no hurry) to explain how to prepare them and what products you recommend to be used to paint them a semi gloss or flat black? I'd rather keep it a project that could be done at home if possible. The whole idea may not be feasible, I just don't know.
As I said........"when you have time".
Thanks

It's fairly easy really. If they already have an OEM finish on them (gloss I'm assuming) you just need to scuff the surface with 400 grit, wipe it down with tack cloth and a good cleaner/degreaser solution, then paint them. As for the flat or semi-gloss finish, you can either do a single stage (no clearcoat required) in the finish of your choice, or paint them with basecoat and then clear them with the finish of your choice. Most stuff should be available to be loaded into spray cans if you don't have a spray gun, or there's some clears manufactured by SEM in spray cans already. If you want specific product numbers and stuff, shoot me an e-mail and I'll give you the details.
