WELL LAID PLANS...NOT! (Hurricane Katrina)

Post by F9K9 »

Mrs Hoff has been planning our vacation since temperatures were hovering near zero here. Despite my concerns about the heat and humidity this time of year because I have been there on details in August she stubbornly stuck to her plan. :!:

For her to get time off has to be planned a couple months in advance. All of her shopping for new clothes is all complete. We're taking off in the morning but, we may have to alter her plan a little, well actually we have to alter it a lot. I guess it may be called a vacation mod

You probably guessed it but, in case you haven't .......her destination was NEW ORLEANS

Looks like a rainy week in Nashville instead  I just barely got room reservations because of all of the residents fleeing north out of Katrina's path. It just turned into a Cat 5 storm. I hope something changes because it is looking bad.

Expected to arrive ahead of schedule and as a category 5 hurricane. Effects to be felt far away.

Our thoughts are with those in harm's way. Be safe and check in with us when you can
