I'm thinking of getting lifted....I have a 2" bl....and I'm running 31x10.5's right now...if I get the SL 6" will I be able to run33x12.5's...on rims with...uh...I'm not sure how much backspacing....and my fenders are already "modified" a bit...and I'm not against cutting more off.
If Anybody knows about this...PLEASE, clue me in.
Thanks in advance
Gair

Yet another "will this fit" Q.
Black '02 crew cab-30" BFG's, K & N FIPK, Go Rhino step bars, 2" body lift
I think you would be just fine. I believe that's the same size tire Ben is running. He has a 5" suspension lift and a 2" body lift. That makes him at 7 inches of lift and if you install the Superlift that would make you at 8 inches. I haven't ever heard Ben say anything about having tire rubbing issues. Plus with the trimming you did I don't see that you would have any problems, thats just IMO. Good Luck!

with my crew i do have 33X12.50's on a 3 3/4" backspaced rim. i had major rubbing issues in the front, less in the rear but still had some. i trimmed about 2 inches out of the front and 2 inches out of the rear of my front fender (4" total), and trimmed the rear of the rear fenders all the way back to the support bolt (about 2 inches)
no more rubbing and i am very happy
the big questions that deal with rubbing are:
1. how wide a tire (actual width)
2. how wide a rim (8" or 10" with a 12.50 tire)
3. how much backspacing
4. and how much articulation (making the suspension work) will you be doing
Good Luck

i've got a 6" sl and a 2" body lift with 31x12.50 on 15x10 rims with 3-3/4" back spacing and they just fit. before the body lift i had a ton of rubbing but now i'm ok unless turning into a steep driveway with some speed at full lock. if you went with an 8"wheel that had more back spacing you might be able to drive around town nicely with some rubbing at full lock but i wouldn't want to do any off roading. as far as the ball joints go i've got 14k on my truck.....10k with the lift and i'm still ok but i don't really go off road. i'm sure i'll be replacing them some time soon though but until then i'll keep my fingers crossed
