Split this topic so the GP didn't get too far off topic-HJ

How about the Helwig unit. It seems simple to install.

The helper springs have u-bolts that hang down and I'm a little concerned that in the brush and during hard articulation there could be a problem.

Plus, I already have a set and I really didn't like the ride, pretty harsh.

I "kinda" like the stealth approach of the add-a-leaf, you'd never know it is not stock.

*Hopefully I didn't take that wrong. Were you interested in a GP for the clamp on helper springs , instead ?*

You must be hauling allot. My rear is way high enough, and never had a problem haul'n, but then I don't haul very heavy stuff.

It would be mostly for when I pull the car trailer. It is somewhere around 4000 lbs. loaded and all the tools in the back.

I'm not looking for much, just a little insurance ;)

Hopefully a camp trailer , some day too.
