BACK with a new build up on an s-10

Post by Warnoffroad »

Thought Id show yall this new truck I just did for a guy last week its a 2000, 4.3l, 2wd, 3/5 drop, flow master duals 40 series, intake, 2 8" subs, 1200 watt amp, 8" tv, and some other goodies inside that i dont know what they do.

I fully rebuilt my old 79 blazer 10 bolt fornt and 12 bolt rear end, 4.88 gears, new breaks, bearings, blah blah blah, 8" chevy front spings, 8" drop hangers, custom trac bar, steering, EVERYTHING powder coated. For the rear I just put in a 2"AAL for a fullsize chevy, 5" block, 4" drop shackles, and custom traction bars, again all powder coated blue and orange. The first pics show it right off the lift on a first test drive to make sure it all work well, i know the fronts not boxed, but its got a 5" guset to support it all, which was fine for 25mph driving.

First off.......................welcome back :thumb:

Secondly, I was a little confused on exactly what you did. If I understand correctly you put the S-10's cab and bed on the K's feame and running gear?

Actually I think he took a 2wd and SFA'd it.

The blue and orange powdercoated parts appear to be his K5.

I could be wrong though.

Your right. Notice the rear differential cover on the K5 and then the S10.

What t-case are you planning on getting since the front diff is passenger side drop?

or does he not plan on putting a t-case in it?

That looks great by the way, mine isn't that pretty :( nor do I ever plan on it being that pretty :D

Thanks a ton! I saw the axle swap done on yours, looks awsome!! hows that front shackle mount workin out? Looks like the old jeep style suspension.

I plan on putting in a np200, which is a center drop case(same i had in the yellow truck) so it doesnt matter which side the diff is on.

Hes wanting to buy the 12" srpings off the Blazer (replacing his 8"s) and the 44s and putting them on his truck now. The Blazers going back under the nife within the next month. Which means everythings getting cut out suspension wise, and getting a full sub frame triangle 4 link and towering 49s.

The front shackle mount works great! I have never had a problem with any of the swap and I have been about 800 miles since the swap and drive it every day.

I didn't think about center drop, that should be pretty cool.

I think the blue truck looks great as it is, I don't think I would raise it anymore.
