Crew on 33X12.50's (pic of my BDS lifted Sonoma)
Let me introduce you to my crew:
BDS 5" suspension (that should make you happy Big-E)
Single Steering Stabilizer
PA 2" Body Lift
American Racing Baja 15X8's
Dayton Timberland 33X12.50 Mud Terrain's
as far as Tires/Lifts/Suspension goes, that's all I've got. Pop on over to the Crew Cab Modified Forum to see what goodies i've done to boost power.
So, what do you think? There will be PLENTY of more pictures after this week is done. I've got 4 exams this week in school, but i'll be on here occasionally to get everyones reactions. I'm pretty sure I'm the first one with the BDS lift, and so far it's everything I've expected. Road manners are excellent! HEHEHEHEHE, I LOVE MY CREW
PS. There's a full-size silverado on the other side of my truck
Catch you Later:
~Ben

wheeeew, done studying for tonight....and it's really hard to study with this truck sitting outside, all i want to do is cruise around. Thanks for the compliments theres a car show in 2 weeks that i'm trying to get ready for. So i've got to scramble with my exhaust, but it's going to look sweet when its done...and i gaurentee it'll be another first for a crew cab (least on here).
Jeff: BDS doesn't sell their kits to the public or places like summit, jegs, etc.....so they don't like it if you post their prices on the internet. but, a couple things i can tell you is to call around to every shop within a decent distance and ask everybody how much this kit is. I got a price range on the kit of $550 from the highest to the lowest here in Michigan.
Truck & Van Specialties out of Hudsonville did my lift.

The complete kit, with steering stabilizer, installed......about $2200, not bad at all. These guys took care of me real well.
Oh yeah, if you get the lift.....YOU'LL LOVE LOOKING DOWN ON ZR2's

It helps to have a product first Seriously , I think he was just refering to the "linered" fenders. He must not have read the modifications thread.Rusty wrote:(Hint, hint, hint ... ) Bubaloo, you sir are a salesman!bubaloo1983 wrote:do you have some sorta fender flare on there?

Hmmm, come to think of it, I didn't read the modifications thread either. Oh well. Interesting idea painting around the fender and rockers with bed liner. I would try it but I've already trashed mine so it's a little late.HenryJ wrote:It helps to have a product first Seriously , I think he was just refering to the "linered" fenders. I forgot to thank everyone on this website for all the usefull information that i've recieved. seems like just yesterday i wandered onto this site while surfing the web, and now i'm on dailly.
Bubalou: i was contemplating your flares but, and it's just my personal preference, i don't really like how far they extend outside the body. I did a little trimming of my fenders to get me by for this week, but a turn and a bump is still no good. noticed some cuts on my tires today this weekend my buddy and i are cutting up the fenders to accomodate the new tires so they can have more suspension travel. again, once this crazy couple of weeks is over, i'll have plenty of good pics.
as far as the installation goes i talked with the guy from Truck & Van when i picked my truck up, he said:
1) he would not recommend a novice trying to put this kit on.
2) BDS's bracket for the steering stabilizer was weak and apparently changes are already in the works, so he custom made me a bracket twice as strong as BDS's original.
3) there was some welding, whether it was neccessary or for extra strength i didnt think to ask (sorry i was a little excited)
4) cutting the frame.....I'll have to look
again i want to thank HJ for all his work and help to make this site happen
catch you later
Ben
