DRL Disable
I'm not sure if someone else has posted this before, but anyway...
I think I found a way to turn off the DRL. It also seemed to disable the auto-on lights also. If you push the Dome Override button in and out 4 times, you will hear a beep and the lights turn off. You have to do it kind of fast, like you were to double click twice.
Let me know if this something well known, and I just missed hearing about it.

It does. The only way to "permanently" disable the DRL and AHL functions involves a jumper to bypass the relay for the DRL and a resistor to bypass the light sensor for the AHL system. Supposedly, the dealer can turn them off permanently with a scan tool, but good luck getting them to do it.killian96ss wrote:Doesn't this feature reset after the ignition is turned off then on again? Did that last week! I think it's part of the 5 yr/50k mile service.wamason wrote:Don't forget about bypassing the headlight fluid sensor by changing out your muffler bearingsRusty wrote:Oh, whoever reads that thing?jeff024 wrote:its in your owners manual you can also set your door locks to unlock certin doors by messin with the lock
The funniest thing I found so far is that the alarm only sets if you lock the truck with the key fob while the drivers door is open. If it is closed, the doors lock but the alram is not set,

I think you can disable DRL by cutting the wire coming out of the fusebox for them... Or just by removing the fuse. I don't know what else would be affected by removing the fuse, though. I want to put in a toggle switch to switch between quad beam brights and having DRL work. But that'd take a fair amount of work, and I'm lazy.
