Mine is also uner warranty.. I have 20,000 on the ODOMETER on a 2003 I cut my airbox up as soon as Brule suggested it . Then I took it to the dealer under warranty for my power steering pump issue and they didn't say a word. I know they had to remove that box to get to the pump too

My airaid system helped in performance and mileage. Dealer should complain unless you use to much oil when recharging it and throw a light on the MAF.

If you are nervous about cutting your airbox, grab a used one from the salvage yard. They should be under $15 and there are tons of them.top_sgt wrote:henryj...what sort of improvement do you realize with your air box mod??? better mileage?? performance??? mine is still under waranty...debating wether to cut on the box or not????
I wouldn't say that there was a difference in mileage. The performance was slightly better though. It has been so long ago the exact difference is hard to say. I know that the FIPK did not really do much when I added it to replace the modded airbox.
So I guess I would say that it does about as much as the FIPK does.
