i* THINK MY btsi IS BAD BECAUSE i CAN SHIFT OUT OF GEAR WHEN THE KEY IS IN THE RUN POSITION... oops sorry about the caps, anyways.....without pressing the brake. The truck won't even crank, I have a '96 s-10. Any guesses will help anything, Street Sweeping is tomorrow and it is a Bit&h to push........PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sorry for being stupid, but what is a BTSI?
If I understand your problem correctly, you can shift the transmission lever out of park position at any time. The ignition switch turns but does not start the vehicle.
I'd look for something broken in the ignition switch assembly? Does it feel like there may be a problem?
Does yours have the digital shift indicator? If not does the indicator move properly with the lever?
Pull the ignition switch and look for broken parts would be my best guess whithout looking at things first hand.
