One rear wheel sits out more than the other

Hey everybody,

I have shackles and 2" spacers on the rear of my truck, and the right wheel sticks out further than the left, almost like the entire rear axle is not centered under the frame.

I've checked the shackles to make sure they haven't flexed or bent any, and I've double checked the width of both spacers and they're ok.

Any suggestions?

where are you measuring from? the wheelwell? are you sure it's not that your bed is not centered? this is VERY common.

ya i know, mine did the same thing and it didnt make sense no matter who looked at it.....just forget about it

You know, I was looking in my rearview mirror last week and noticed I could see the bed sticking out on one side and not the other

I have the same problem with my zr2..i noticed my trac bar is bend but all of the zr2s ive looked at are the same with the trac bar. If you figure out why one is out farther then the other let me know. It wasnt bad stock but now with the rims i have it looks dumb cause one sticks out of the wheel well and the other doesnt.

zr2's will commonly do this because of the trac bar. i think if you loosen it up, then rasie your rear wheels. then lower them back down, then tighten you trac bar, you will be fine.

crewcabs dont have trac bars...

oh ok ill have to try that out and see if it fixes it. What do you guys have instead? Sway bars? Whats better anyway? I guess a trac bar would make for better articulation.

crews have nothing but springs and shocks..you could just take your track bar off

I haven't measured, but my bed looks even with the body on both sides. It's just the wheels. It is very noticeable to me from standing 5-10 feet behind the truck.

well there's your answer... slide the bed over to one side. it'll even out the wheels and make your crewcab look like the rest of 'em

ok, on my 01 crew i installed a pa body lift an 31s and had the same problem and was unable to slide the bed over. the bed is just slightly off and it is noticeable from the mirrors. but i really think that that is the way it was before i installed the bl.

You would know for sure if you had followed the directions

You're supposed to take measurements before you start the install

Hmm....I'll probably leave it be until I get my SL installed (in a few months), then it shouldn't be noticeable with 12.5" wide tires
